VPN for PC: a free client reads the link

You pay for the plan, not for the program. Laptops and desktops use the same link as your phone.

What you need on a computer

Two things: a client app and a subscription link. The app is free and made by other developers. The link comes from the Telegram bot in about a minute, with no sign-up, no email and no password. Paste the link into the app, pick a server and connect.

There is no program of our own to download, so a search for a branded installer should not bring you here. If something claims to be an official installer for this service, treat it as suspect.

Setting up on a Windows or Mac computer

  1. Open the bot and take the 10 free days. It issues the personal link.

  2. Install a client. Hiddify has versions for Windows, macOS and Linux, and Happ lists Windows, macOS and Linux builds too. Download from the developer's own page or store.

  3. In the client, choose to add a profile from a link or from the clipboard, and paste the subscription.

  4. The server list appears: Helsinki, Warsaw, Tokyo, Istanbul and Paris. Pick one and press connect.

  5. Open a site that shows your IP address. It should now show the server's country, not yours.

Windows, Mac or Linux: small differences

On Windows the client usually asks permission to create a virtual network adapter. That is normal for a tunnel app and you can say yes. On a Mac it will ask for similar approval in system settings. On Linux the route depends on your distribution, so use the package the developer publishes for it. The link itself is the same everywhere, so you set it up once and reuse it.

The older the system, the fewer clients still run on it. Pages for particular versions, such as Windows 7 or 10 and 11, a Chromebook, a Linux desktop, a laptop or a Chrome extension, come later; this page covers the general case.

What this does not do

A VPN for PC encrypts the road between your computer and the server. It does not clean a computer of malware, does not log you out of accounts that track you, and does not make a browser private by itself. India has no server in the list, so an Indian IP is not something you can get from here.

Which uses are allowed depends on the country, and checking that is up to you, as are the terms of each service you open through the tunnel. The first draft was written by a model; a person read it afterwards and corrected what did not match the service.

Choosing a client

Try the first client that fits your system, and if it behaves badly, install a second one. Because they all read the same kind of link, switching costs you a minute. We sell the plan, so we gain from your staying; that is why the advice is limited to checks that you can do alone on your own screen.

Questions

The fine print, in full
Do I need to install a special program for this service?

No. You install a free client by another developer and give it your link from the bot.

Which computers work?

Windows, macOS and Linux have clients available, per the developers' pages. Very old systems may not run current versions.

Does the plan cover both my laptop and my phone?

Yes. One link has no device limit.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, 10 days free. The bot issues the link.

Is a bank card accepted for the plan?

No. Payment is in cryptocurrency only, in the bot.

Will I get an Indian IP on my PC?

No. None of the servers is in India, so a PC gets an address from one of the five other countries.

Take the link and check the numbers

Free to try, with no card and no account. If the link fails on your own connection, you have paid nothing.
